David Balayssac is associate professor and hospital practitioner in the research team NEURO-DOL, UMR1107, INSERM / UCA. He is a pharmacist and holds a PhD in Toxicology / Neuroscience (Clermont-Ferrand 2005), with a research activity focused on chemotherapy-induced peripheral neuropathy both in preclinical and clinical (author of some forty international publications and of 2 patents). At the Faculty of Pharmacy of Clermont-Ferrand, David Balayssac is in charge of the Toxicology laboratory (lectures of toxicology, addiction and oncology), assessor of the dean, head of international relations and member of the management board of the faculty. At the Clermont-Ferrand University Hospital, he is responsible for the Innovation Unit of the Clinical Research and Innovation Delegation, which supports access to and evaluation of diagnostic and therapeutic innovations. For his general interest missions, David Balayssac is an expert for LNE-GMED, member of the CNU81, HCERES expert, member of the Innovation Working Group of the CRI/DGOS and member of the scientific council and the board of directors of the league against cancer (committee of Puy de Dôme).
