Isabelle Fugier - Head of R&D Vaccines Partnerships and Stakeholder Engagement in France

Holder of a PhD in Immunology from Aix-Marseille University (1991), Isabelle Fugier pursued a 15-year scientific career. Her research focused on immunology, virology, infectious diseases and cell transplantation.

 

She was a Research and Teaching Fellow at the École normale supérieure de Lyon (1992–1994), followed by a position as Research Scientist at Schering-Plough in Dardilly (1994–1997). She then became Immunology Project Manager and Head of Quality Assurance at Syntem (1998–2001). Between 2001 and 2006, she was an Assistant Professor at the Institute for Cellular Therapeutics, University of Louisville, KY, USA.

 

In 2006, she joined Sanofi as European Head of Scientific Training Strategy for Research and Development (R&D Vaccines). Since 2014, she has been responsible for strategic scientific partnerships in R&D and stakeholder engagement within Sanofi France’s Vaccines division. In this role, she notably leads the development and implementation of strategic collaborative initiatives and projects.
