Lyonbiopole's chairman, Deputy Chief Executive Officer in charge of Strategy and Planning at Institut Mérieux
Philippe Sans is a graduate of EM Lyon Business School. He has spent a large part of his career at Institut Mérieux, first at bioMérieux (diagnostics) which he chaired in the United States and of which he was Deputy CEO, then at Mérieux NutriSciences, a subsidiary of Institut Mérieux dedicated to food safety and consumer protection, of which he was CEO from 2007 to 2020.
Since October 2020, he is Deputy Chief Executive Officer – in charge of Strategy and Planning at Institut Mérieux – a major player in public health which imagines and develops new approaches in the fields of diagnosis, immunotherapy and food safety and nutrition.
Philippe Sans was appointed Chairman of Lyonbiopole on December 14, 2020. His strategic vision and extensive knowledge of the global health environment will be major assets for the cluster.
