Marina Rousseau-Tsangaris - General Secretary for Research and Technology Transfer at the Centre Léon Bérard (CLB), Comprehensive Cancer Center

Marina Rousseau-Tsangaris PhD has been General Secretary for Research and Technology Transfer at the Centre Léon Bérard (CLB) since 2003. She has accumulated 30 years of experience in research management and technology transfer in both the private and public sectors in the healthcare and life sciences area, being responsible for the administrative, legal and financial management of more than 200 projects. She has abroad experience in the definition of development and transfer strategies – especially in the European innovative projects – and the structuring of national and international research consortia and possesses a full knowledge of the evaluation process for major public research programs.

 

She is the coordinator of LYric (Lyon Research Innovation for Cancer) « Grant INCa-4664 »

Dr Rousseau-Tsangaris was awarded a PhD from the Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale at Lausanne, Switzerland 1984 and subsequently was senior scientist at BIOPROJET (1986-Paris) where she gained experience in the organization of drug development, at INBIOMED (1989 – Lyon) and subsequently with the Laboratoire Marcel Mérieux. In 1997 she joined Flamel Technologies (Lyon) to take charge of the Analysis Group and the coordination of “Basulin” project.

From 2000-2002 Dr Rousseau-Tsangaris was Director of Mcbio (Lyon), a clinical research specialist. The company pursues Phase 1 to Phase 4 studies including multicentre trials in Europe and the USA.
