The impact of epidemic control policies (vaccination, screening, or the use of other drugs or prophylactics) is measured at the population level. This requires the use of numerical approaches that often go beyond the capabilities of Excel.

Epidemiological modeling and numerical simulation are relevant from early stages of product development. They help determine the most critical product characteristics, solve trade-offs between characteristics, evaluate technology readiness level (TRL), assess market size, manage uncertainties, set research priorities, and anticipate demands from health authorities. Scenarios with multiple products (from competitors or own portfolio) can be investigated.

Our methods include mathematical modeling (disease transmission models at the population level and intra-host models), numerical simulation, scenario analysis, statistical analysis, value of information analysis, HEOR, and optimization.
