CISTEN

CISTEN is a company built on a privileged partnership with the Laboratoire de Mécanique des Contacts et des Structures (LaMCoS) of INSA Lyon.

It consists of enhancing and promoting the transfer of knowledge from the world of research to industrial design offices and hospital structures.

CISTEN's activities cover the theoretical and practical aspects necessary for the resolution of industrial problems by experimental and numerical means. CISTEN offers a virtual mechanics approach, coupled with experimental means to carry out numerical simulations in biomechanics: vascular and orthopedics.

The company develops a tool that gives the surgeons access to virtual vascular surgery. Thanks to multiphysical simulations assisting in the surgical planning of vascular pathologies, it allows for the follow-up of patients and gives promising results in terms of bio-fidelity and pathology prediction.
