This month, Lyonbiopole was co-organizer of different workshops which took place during the BIOVISION Forum: the "Digital Patient" session in partnership with the Hospices Civils de Lyon and the Antibody Workshop in collaboration with the MabDesign association. These meetings provided an opportunity for experts from different scientific communities to exchange together for the health of tomorrow.
 
Lyonbiopole will be on the West Coast of the US with a delegation of 25 members in San Francisco at the BIO International Convention from 6 to 9 June.



Cluster's life

 Success of the “Antibody Workshop” MabDesign/LyonbiopoleMabDesign and Lyonbiopole organized a workshop on April 12th about Therapeutic Antibody Engineering. This day, proposed as a satellite event of BIOVISION, allowed to present innovative approaches for structural and biophysical characterization of therapeutic antibodies. Then, the workshop highlighted optimization technologies of therapeutic antibody. This event brought together over 70 participants, academic, SMEs and large groups : all the French experts in the field of mAb who had the opportunity to discuss on their technologies and to initiate new collaborations.
 DIGITAL PATIENT WORKSHOP DURING BIOVISIONThe BIOVISION Forum took place in Lyon, from 12 to 14 April and addressed, as a main thread, the issue of “Global Health and Prevention”. Within this framework, Lyonbiopole in partnership with Hospices Civils de Lyon and BIOVISION, organized a specific session on “Digital Patient”. Firstly, a workshop gathering experts: academics, physicians, patients’ associations, SMEs and industrials was held. By giving their views and experience sharing on regulatory and big data management, each participant contributed to clearly describe the field of connected health. Then, the plenary session organized during the Forum allowed experts to give a restitution of the workshop.
 S'KIN project selected in the 21th FUI call for projectsThe project S'KIN led by Dermadis, a biotech SME located in Archamps, obtained public funding from the 21th Call for Projects of the Single Inter-Ministry Fund (FUI). The project accredited by Lyonbiopole and Cosmetic Valley French clusters aims to develop a range of innovative active ingredients for human dermocosmetics, acting on skin barrier restoration. These active ingredients will be tested in common skin disorders related to anomalies of the stratum corneum. The project involves three other companies: Laboratoire BIO-EC, Laboratoire BF INTERNATIONAL and Chimex, and an academic research group: Laboratory of Systems and Applications of Information Technology of Cergy Pontoise University.
