10/07/2015 - 9th edition of Partnering Days, great success !

The Partnering Days 2015 gathered 411 participants - 50% from industry (SMEs and Major Companies) at the "Hotel of the Rhône-Alpes Region". During the morning, 16 roundtables of brainstorming were held in parallel including 13 in collaboration with other clusters, health foundations and associations. 250 people discussed about the issues and solutions to provide in strategic domains areas in health. The afternoon, during the Bluesky Meeting, 20 technologies and innovatives offers were presented by SME's and academics clinicians in front of a large experts audience.

Lyonbiopole alongside with its SME members, as Rhône-Alpes delegation will attend the Bio Europe 2015 Convention which will be held in Munich, Germany. Each year, BIO Europe gathers more than 3000 participants (1800 companies from 54 countries), with 18 000 meetings BtoB organised in 3 days. BIO-Europe is a unique occasion to highlight companies during the "Company Presentations". More than 160 companies present their activity each year.

11/06/2015 - Nanolive : A revolutionary Tomographic Microscope

Nanolive organizes a presentation of the 3D Cell Explorer at Accinov on Nov 6. The unique imaging technique of the 3D Cell Explorer, allows for the first time to explore instantly the inside of a living cell in 3D without the need for any labeling or other invasive methods. The aim of the demo is to give a brief introduction of the microscope after which the participants will have the possibility imagine their own samples.

10/2015 – New H2020 calls on Health “Personalised Medicine” 2016

The EC published its new H2020 Health calls for projects for 2016. Most of the RIA – Research and Innovation actions are one-stage calls, with a deadline fixed on April 13th, 2016. 10/2015 - Eurostars Programme

The new Eurostars call is open - deadline for submission announced on 18/02/2016. This program, dedicated to innovative SMEs, aimed at supporting collaborative and European, close to the market R&D projects, (minimum 2 participating European countries). The project funding rate is 30 to 40% of eligible costs. Lyonbiopole supports its members to build up projects and find partners.

10/2015 - H2020 SME instrument and FTI calls - Last deadlines for 2015

H2020 program includes the SME instrument and the Fast Track to Innovation Programme. The SME instrument is focused on topics including the "PHC-12 Clinical research for the validation of biomarkers and / or diagnostic medical devices" line and on 2 lines in the NMP and Biotech programs. The project can be presented by a single SME. Last deadline for 2015: 11/25/2015. The Fast Track to Innovation (FTI) aims to give to innovative companies a final push before the access to market. Consortia should bring 3-5 organizations (mostly companies). All technologies are concerned. Last submission date : 12/1/2015. Details on the participant portal.

The Joint Technology Initiative on Innovative Medicines IMI2 launches its 6th call for projects. 4 topics are open. See details here. 10/29/2015 - Alizé Pharma reports positive results

Alizé Pharma SAS, an Alizé Pharma group company specialized in the development of biopharmaceuticals to treat metabolic disorders and rare diseases, announces today the completion of a Phase Ib trial for AZP-531 in 36 Type 2 Diabetes (T2D) patients. This trial was the last stage in an overall Phase I program performed in 112 healthy volunteers, obese subjects and T2D patients.

10/13/2015 - BIOASTER and FUJIFILM Corporation for a collaborative study

BIOASTER, Microbiology Technology Institute, announced that it has confirmed and started a collaboration for the study of an Ebola Virus Disease (EVD) rapid diagnostic system with FUJIFILM Corporation. In order to prevent a future outbreak of the disease, it is important to easily diagnose EVD patients at early stage and implement initial response measures to break the chain of infection.

09/25/2015 - Smartox Biotechnology announces research collaboration with Xenon Pharmaceuticals

The collaboration combines the expertises of Smartox Biotechnology in the study of animal venoms with Xenon Pharmaceuticals Inc.'s ion channel discovery platform. The VenomScreen® division of Smartox Biotechnology will supply venoms for in vitro screening by Xenon with the aim to identify natural toxins presenting a high selectivity for ion channels of interest.
