06/15-18/2015 - BIO 2015, a good year for Rhône-Alpes delegation

On the occasion of BIO International Convention, Philadelphia June 15 to 18, 20 Rhône-Alpes’ SMEs were present on Lyonbiopole’s booth on the French Pavilion. This delegation, which was the largest on the pavilion, shows the importance of the Rhône-Alpes health industry worldwide. 4 Lyonbiopole’s members had the opportunity to continue their exploration of the US market through their participation in BIO+, a mission organised by the French American Chamber of Commerce and Lyonbiopole. During this mission, the participants met UPenn, the Wistar Institute and Princeton University for future partnerships.

The 4th edition of BlueSky Meeting will take place on 7 October 2015 in Lyon during the Partnering Days of Lyonbiopole. This event, which objective is to enhance the partnerships between healthcare public and private players in Rhône-Alpes, will allow you to present your technological offer of project idea open to partnership. PDC*line Pharma, a clinical-stage biotech company based in Grenoble, announces that PDC*vac, its new class of therapeutic cancer vaccines based on a line of Plasmacytoid Dendritic Cells (PDC*line), was granted Advanced-Therapy Medicinal Product (ATMP) classification by the Committee for Advanced Therapies (CAT) of the European Medicines Agency (EMA), in consultation with the European Commission.

03/2015 - H2020 SME instrument

H2020 program includes the SME instrument. It targets the highly innovative SMEs with a strong ambition to develop, grow and internationalize;  focusing on the delivery of new products, services or processes on the market. For SMEs in the health sector, the SME instrument is focused on the PHC-12 Clinical research for the validation of biomarkers and diagnostic medical devices line. The project can be presented by a single SME, and different phases depending on the maturity of the project. Next submission deadline: Phase 1 & 2 projects = 09/17/2015 and 11/25/2015 . Lyonbiopole supports you to build up European projects.

01/2015 - Fast Track to Innovation

The European Commission launches a new initiative Fast Track to Innovation (FTI) under H2020. It aims to give to innovative companies a final push before the access to market. The projects must focus on industrial development. Consortia should bring 3-5 organizations (mostly companies). All fields of technology are concerned. Several submission dates are planned in 2015 (09/01/2015 and 12/1/2015).

03/2015 -  Eurostars call for projects

Eurostars call for projects is open. This funding programme is fully dedicated to innovative SMEs aiming to launch R&D projects closed to the market, that are collaborative and European (at least 2 partners from EU). The funding rate for projects goes from 30 to 40% (subsidy managed by BPI France). The submission deadline is fixed on 09/17/2015. Lyonbiopole supports you to build up European projects.

06/19-26/2015 - Get prepared for Health H2020 new calls 2016-2017

Lyonbiopole organized on 19 and 26 June, together with the University of Grenoble, Lyon University and hospital two infodays dedicated to future Health H2020 2016-2017 program to be released this fall. These two days have gathered a total of 140 participants from academia, hospitals, industry and SMEs. For more information on future calls, you can contact Lyonbiopole. SME participation is again very strongly expected in the new program with the inclusion of several lines on SME instrument. Finally, the European Commission will organize on 17 and 18 September, a brokerage event (dedicated to the search for partners) and an Infoday. Information and registration to come.

06/26/2015 - Adocia and Lilly report positive Phase 1b topline results

Adocia and Eli Lilly and Company (NYSE: LLY) announced the completion of a Phase 1b clinical trial evaluating BioChaperone Lispro, an ultra-rapid formulation of insulin lispro licensed to Lilly. This formulation uses Adocia’s proprietary technology BioChaperone, which is designed to accelerate insulin absorption.

06/09/2015 - Indicia Production welcomes investments from Amundi PEF

Indicia Production, a Contract Manufacturing Organization (CMO) specialized in the formulation and production of sterile liquid media (involving aseptic filling and the manufacture of ready-to-use microbiological media) on behalf of its clients, today announces that Amundi Private Equity Funds (Amundi PEF) has acquired a stake in its capital. 
This minority interest is expected to support Indicia Production in its external growth, in order to increase its production capabilities. The details of the investment are not being disclosed.

06/01/2015 - ERYTECH reported full GRASPA® PHASE III results

ERYTECH Pharma reported complete Phase III results of its pivotal program withGRASPA® in Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) and presented the design of the ongoing Phase IIb study in Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML) at the 51st Annual Meeting of the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO). During an investigator meeting ERYTECH also presented the progress and plans on other development programs.

BIOASTER microbiology technological institute announced today that it will receive from Sanofi Pasteur, a donation of €1 million for its BIOASTER1 building, currently under construction at 40 Avenue Tony Garnier in BioDistrict Lyon campus, the heart of life sciences in Lyon.

CALIXAR announces the grant of the patent related to its unique platform for selectively extracting membrane proteins. After its grant in Europe and in USA, this new patent allows the company to extend and strengthen its global presence in the field of target isolation for drug discovery and antigen isolation for new vaccines (JP 5592879).
