23/02/2015 : Pandemic and epidemic European experts met in Lyonbiopole

In the framework of the ASSET european project « Action plan on SIS related issues in epidemics and total pandemics » and particularly its “reference guide on unsolved scientific questions related to pandemics and epidemics”, Lyonbiopole greeted in its premises, European experts in pandemics and epidemics. Those famous professors, virologists, epidemiologists, experts in mathematical modeling, social psychology or coming from public health authorities, met to discuss recommendations for a better management of epidemics, using in particular the case study on the 2009 H1N1 pandemic.

04/14/2015 : CASyM/BIOVISION call for pitches on R&D collaborative projects

Submit your R&D collaborative project idea in the systems Medicine/Personalized Medicine field, and gain visibility both during the CASyM’s event and during Biovision in Lyon. Accommodation and travel expenses of proposal selected for flash presentation during the 2015 CASyM Academic/Industry interaction workshop, will be taken in charge by the CASyM project. The best presentations selected for CASyM will automatically be selected for Biovision’s Catalyzer. 11/2014 - H2020 SME instrument

H2020 program includes the SME instrument. It targets the highly innovative SMEs with a strong ambition to develop, grow and internationalize; focusing on the delivery of new products, services or processes on the market. For SMEs in the health sector, the SME instrument is focused on the PHC-12 Clinical research for the validation of biomarkers and/or diagnostic medical devices line. The project can be presented by a single SME, and different phases depending on the maturity of the project. Next submission deadline:Phase 1 & 2 projects = 03/18/2015. 01/2015 - New call H2020 - Fast track to innovation

The European Commission launches a new initiative Fast Track to Innovation (FTI) under H2020. It aims to give to innovative companies a final push before the access to market. The projects must focus on industrial development. Consortia should bring 3-5 organizations (mostly companies). All fields of technology are concerned. Several submission dates are planned in 2015 (next deadline 04/29/2015).

01/2015 - Eurostars: call for projects open

Eurostars call for projects is open. This funding programme is fully dedicated to innovative SMEs aiming to launch R&D projects closed to the market, that are collaborative and European (at least 2 partners from EU). The funding rate for projects goes from 30 to 40% (subsidy managed by BPI France). The submission deadline is fixed on 03/5/2015. Lyonbiopole supports you to build up European projects.

01/2015 - ERA-NET INFECT-ERA call for projects open

The 3rd INFECT-ERA call on Infectious Diseases is open – deadline 03/18/2015. The program aims to financing transnational collaborative research projects (involving academic / SMEs). In general, the project should gather at least 3 partners from 3 countries participating in the ERA-NET. The French teams are funded by the ANR.

01/2015 - ERA-NET ERACoSysMed: 1st Transnational call for proposals on Systems Medicine

The ANR joins the ERA-NET ERACoSysMed to launch a first transnational call for research projects on Systems Medicine. This brand new initiative aims to promote transnational research to demonstrate the feasibility and benefits of Systems Medicine – deadline for pre-proposals 03/30/2015. The launch of this program is one of the outputs of the CASyM European project in which Lyonbiopole is partner. The cluster can support you to find partners.

02/2015 - IMI 2 3rd call for projects open

IMI (Innovative Medicines Initiative) is a public-private partnership between the pharmaceutical groups, members of EFPIA and the European Union. Its aim is to financially support collaboration in the field of innovative medicines in order to increase security and efficiency. The 3rd IMI2 call is open at the moment (deadline on 03/24/2014). 02/24/2015 - Calixar raises €1 Million

Calixar announced the completion of its second round of financing with its historical investors - Siparex, Veymont Participations, INPG Entreprise SA, and regional business angels (Health-Angels Rhône-Alpes, Savoie Angels and Grenoble Angels). Moreover, Bpifrance (French public investment bank) and the Banque Populaire supplemented this funding through repayable advance and specific credit (Innov & Plus) supported by the European Union.

02/09/2015 - Adocia reports positive results

Adocia announced positive results from a Phase IIa clinical trial evaluating its innovative fast-acting formulation of recombinant human insulin, HinsBet, in comparison to Eli Lilly’s commercial products, Humalog® (insulin lispro) and Humulin® (recombinant human insulin). Adocia’s HinsBet formulation incorporates proprietary BioChaperone® technology which enables accelerated absorption of prandial insulins.

02/05/2015 - Bioaster is increasing its bioinformatic capabilities

At the end of 2014, the microbiology-focused Technology Research Institute BIOASTER and the Computing Centre for the National Institute of Nuclear Physics and Particle Physics (CC-IN2P3, a CNRS Service and Research Unit) have entered into a partnership agreement that will improve the storage and analysis of data generated by BIOASTER’s R&D programs.
