06/26/2014 - Excellent edition for BIO 2014 San Diego

On the occasion of “BIO International Convention”, in San Diego from June 23rd to 26th, 17 companies from the Rhône-Alpes region have co-exhibited at the Lyonbiopole’s booth on the French pavilion: Adocia, BIOASTER, Calixar, CapEval, CEA Leti, Cellipse, Cytoo, ERYtech Pharma, genOway, Imaxio, ImmunID, Indicia Biotechnology,  OncoTherapy Science France Laboratories, LXRepair, Prediction BioSciences, Synthelis, TransCure bioServices. This delegation, the largest on the French pavilion, demonstrates once again, the leading position of the Rhône-Alpes healthcare sector at the international level. Business appointment, participation in "8th Fast Track R&D Partnering with France", meeting with the governor of Massachusetts, many highlights that the Rhône-Alpes region SMBs have enjoyed.

06/19/2014 - Lyonbiopole supports French health SMEs to access European projects

Since 2010, Lyonbiopole supports its members to set-up European projects and now is glad to present a strong record: 5 out of 10 companies supported by the cluster were selected for funding by the European Commission. In total, € 8.3 million euros have been granted to SMEs. Today Lyonbiopole is willing to strengthen its action in strongly mobilizing its members, SMEs, academics and clinicians on the EU new research and innovation program "Horizon 2020". On July 4th, Lyonbiopole will host a unique event in France, H2020 Health European Brokerage event, dedicated to the search for partners to form consortia to answer H2020 calls, currently open.

06/05-06/2014 - BIOVISION 2014, a successful edition!

This 9th edition of BIOVISION closed on June 6th with the ceremony Awards under the Investor Conference and BIOVISION Catalyzer co-organized by Lyonbiopole in the presence of Alain Mérieux. The Investor Conference awards went to GenSight Biologics for biotech  part and Cellnovo medtech for medtech part. A special prize was also awarded to GeNeuro. For BIOVISION Catalyzer, Myasterix project was awarded in the category "immunotherapies and vaccines" and Silicomics project in the "Healty Aging." The 2014 edition of BIOVISION confirms the success of its new annual format, focusing squarely on providing support for innovation.

Fluoptics, Lyonbiopole member’s, based in Grenoble, develops and markets innovative solutions in the field of fluorescence image-guided surgery. Early June, the company has obtained the Food and Drug Administration clearance for its clinical imaging system, Fluobeam®. In the meantime, Flupotics established a subsidiary in the United States, Fluoptics Imaging Inc. dedicated to the marketing of its innovative solutions.

07/04/2014 - Horizon 2020 Health European Brokerage Event

The French National contact points H2020 Health, Lyonbiopole, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Lyon, member of the Enterprise Europe Network, with the support of the Rhône-Alpes Region, organize July 4, 2014 in Lyon, European Brokerage event. This event will be dedicated to the search of potential partners to set up consortia for the opening of calls 2015, the challenge "H2020: Health, demographic change and Well-being" (to be published in the summer of 2014). The day will include presentations of future European projects and bilateral meetings preprogrammed with potential partners (companies, academic ...) from all over Europe. Registration are closed.

10/10/2014 - Partnering Days 2014, registration will be opened in July

The Partnering Days 2014 will be held Friday, October 10, 2014 at the Congress Center of the WTC Grenoble. This day is designed to allow exchanges between health actors in Rhône-Alpes and facilitate the emergence of new collaborations. This new edition should bring the majority of health actors in Rhône-Alpes from industrial sectors, SMEs, academic and hospital. It will be organized around two key tools that make the success of this event year after year: thematic roundtables and brainstorming project ideas and technology offerings for SMEs at BlueSky Meeting sessions flash presentation.

10/19/24/2014 - Health Mission to China

Lyonbiopole in partnership with ERAI and with the support of the Rhône-Alpes Region, is organizing a mission to China Shanghai - Beijing from October 19 to 24, 2014. This missionis fully integrated to the support actions carried out since 2009 by Lyonbiopole on the Chinese market. This year, Lyonbiopole’s actions in China benefits from the visit of President of the Rhône-Alpes Region, Mr Jean-Jack Queyranne in Shanghai, offering an increased visibility regarding the authorities and Chinese companies. This mission is built around a program of individual business meetings divided between Shanghai and Beijing and the participation in the official delegation of the President in Shanghai.

11/28/2014 - 6th edition of the Lyonbiopole’s Private Inv€stment Day, Save the date !

For the 6th time, Lyonbiopole organizes the Private Inv€stment Day on Friday, November 28th 2013, from 8.00 am to 3.00 pm. This event, dedicated to SMBs and private investors aims to foster interactions between companies, new entrepreneurs and investors of every kind. 04/2014 - New Eurostars 2 call for projects

The new Eurostars 2 call for projects is open. This funding programme is fully dedicated to innovative SMEs aiming to launch R&D projects closed to the market, that are collaborative and European (at least 2 partners from EU). The funding rate for projects goes from 30 to 40% (subsidy managed by BPI France). Thus the new Eurostars 2 call for project is launched, which submission deadline is planned on Sept. 11, 2014. Lyonbiopole supports you for EU project set-up thanks to its ETP programme.

 05/2014 - Open calls Horizon 2020

The European commission has launched in December 11th 2013, the 1st Horizon 2020 (EU research and innovation programme for 2014-2020) calls for projects. Many calls are open at the moment: FET OPEN (disruptive innovation), SME Instrument (with several deadlines), “Health, demographic change and wellbeing” calls. Lyonbiopole supports you to build European projects through its ETP program.

05/2014 - Call for projects for innovative collaborative training with a socio-economic aim

The call for projects aims at offering support to existing or future training units or courses meeting the following criteria : - Application lead by one of the thirteen PALSE funding establishments and/or a consortium partner. – Innovative characteristic of the content and/or the format – Link with socio-economic partners in the territory. The call is on-going. Proposals will be examined along the way.

07/09/2014 - IMI will launch its first IMI 2 calls on July 9

The Innovative Medicines Initiative (IMI) will launch its first call for proposals under the IMI 2 on July 9. Indicative topics proposed in the first call are: - Translational Approaches to disease modifying therapy of type 1 diabetes mellitus / - Discovery and validation of novel endpoints in retinal disease. Find all the details on the IMI website. Several information sessions are planned, including one Infoday in Brussels on 09/30. Webinars are scheduled in July (dates are available on the IMI website). IMI advises SMEs, patient organizations, regulatory authorities, academic teams, industry, hospitals and other organizations with an interest in IMI projects to participate in webinars. 06/2014 - Call for proposals "Innovation Vouchers" Health2CARE

Lyonbiopole is partner in a new European project Health2CARE funded for a period of 2 years by DG Enterprise (CE) alongside the Rhône-Alpes Region, I-CARE cluster, Minalogic and Plastipolis. In this context, the consortium has launched a call for proposals to foster the emergence of innovative solutions led by SMEs in the Rhône-Alpes region in the field of personalized medicine. Deadline for submission: 07/25/2014. A jury of European experts will assess the applications in the coming weeks. The most promising projects will receive financial support called "Innovation Vouchers" and thus benefit from external expertise for their development (support to business development, IP expertise etc..). 06/17/2014 - New SMBs hosted at Accinov

After 6 months of existence, Accinov, the innovation platform of Lyonbiopole, continues to expand and now hosts 4 SMBs and start-ups on its premises: Alma Bio Therapeutics, CYTOSIAL Biomedic, BioSellal and System C Industry/Bioprocess Systems. These four companies settled alongside the technical platform "Biomanufacturing and Protein Engineering" of the Technological Research Institute BIOASTER and Sanofi Pasteur team.

06/03/2014 - Accinov hosts Sanofi Pasteur, its first bioproduction client

Sanofi Pasteur, the vaccines division of Sanofi and Lyonbiopole, are pleased to announce the start of a  biomanufacturing projectwithin AccInov, the innovation platform of Lyonbiopole. This bioproduction project will evaluate on a pilot scale, the performance of a new single-use bioreactor, allowing both the cell culture or fermentation of bacteria, in particular for the production of clinical batches.

06/30/2014 - Smartox raises funds from Wiseed

Smartox Biotechnology, Grenoble company biotechnology specialized in the discovery of innovative medicines from animal venoms, is currently raising funds (€ 200 K) to the platform "crowdfunding" Wiseed, participatory platform dedicated to funding innovative start-ups.
