In the framework of  BIO San Diego 2014, Lyonbiopole in collaboration with the Health Competitiveness clusters, UbiFrance and with the support of the DGCIS, Sanofi and the AFII (French Agency for International Investments) is proud to invite you to the 8th edition of the “Fast Track R&D with France” on Monday, June  23rd, 2014 from 11:00am to 5:00 p.m. at the San Diego Convention Center. The event aims to promote innovation performed by French SMBs and to foster the emergence of international collaborations. 05/22/2014 - Lyonbiopole renews its Board of Directors during its General Assembly

On May 22 was held Lyonbiopole's General Assembly at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Lyon. Edelris (2nd term) and Cellipse (replacing immunID) will represent Business College. L'Université Joseph Fourier (replacing HCL) , along with AVIESAN (2nd term) will represent the Competence Center College. These two Grenoble entities provide an opportunity to show Lyonbiopole strong anchoring on this part of the Rhône-Alpes territory.

05/15/2014 - 3 projects obtain public funding from the 17th FUI Call for Projects

After their accreditation by Lyonbiopole, the new projects H&M, MIRAC and MYB have been selected by the 17th FUI Call for Projects. These 3 R&D projects benefit from public funding from the French State, and local authorities among which the Rhône-Alpes Region, the Greater Lyon, the Grenoble Alpes Metropole and General Council of Isère.

CELLIPSE

Cellipse is a Lyonbiopole member company based in Grenoble. It recently joined the cluster's Board of Directors, for 2 years as a non-permanent member and representative of the College of Businesses. This Drug Discovery SMB aims to bring innovative therapies to cancer patients. It develops a portfolio of small molecules targeting the cytoskeleton (actin filaments and microtubules) based on its "cell to drug discovery" approach. Cellipse will be part of the Rhône-Alpes delegation that Lyonbiopole  will accompany to BIO San Diego from 23 to 26 June.

06/03-04/2014 - The A3P Bioproduction Congress

Lyonbiopole and its innovation platform Accinov invite you to Biomanufacturing Conference, 3 and 4 June in Lyon organized by the A3P ( the Association for clean and sterile products).  After a successful edition in 2013, this year edition, extended over two days will gather at the Espace Tete d’Or (Lyon), speakers who will share their experiences and coordinate workshop sessions. The case studies will highlight the stakes and challenges faces during product development from cell culture to formulation. A tour of the sites of Sanofi Pasteur and Genzyme is also proposed.

06/05-06/2014 - Biovision 2014

Biovision, the annual forum organized by the Fondation pour l'Universite de Lyon on future-oriented research in life sciences, will take place on 5 and 6 June in Lyon. For the first time this year different public conferences are organized. The first conference on "The immune system is it the key to human health? " will be held Thursday, June 5 at 18:00. The second conference on "Aging well: what are the limits to man? " will be held Friday, June 6 at 16:30.

07/04/2014 - Horizon 2020 Health European Brokerage Event: Get Registered

The French National contact points H2020 Health, Lyonbiopole, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Lyon, member of the Enterprise Europe Network, with the support of the Rhône-Alpes Region, organize July 4, 2014 in Lyon, European Brokerage event. This event will be dedicated to the search of potential partners to set up consortia for the opening of calls 2015, the challenge "H2020: Health, demographic change and Well-being" (to be published in the summer of 2014). The day will include presentations of future European projects and bilateral meetings preprogrammed with potential partners (companies, academic ...) from all over Europe. Registration are open.

10/10/2014 - Partnering Days 2014, Save the date !

Partnering Days 2014 will be held Friday, October 10, 2014 at the Congress Center of the WTC Grenoble. This day is designed to allow exchanges between health actors in Rhône-Alpes and facilitate the emergence of new collaborations. This new edition should bring the majority of health actors in Rhône-Alpes from industrial sectors, SMEs, academic and hospital. It will be organized around two key tools that make the success of this event year after year: thematic roundtables and brainstorming project ideas and technology offerings for SMEs at Bluesky Meeting sessions flash presentation.

03/2014 - Call for transnational projects on synthetic biology in the context of the ERA-NET EraSynBio

The French ANR joins the ERA-NET ERASynBio to launch a 1st call for transnational proposals in the field of synthetic biology. This call for proposals involves 12 countries: Germany, Denmark, USA, Spain, Finland, France, Latvia, Norway, Portugal, United Kingdom, Slovenia and Switzerland. It aims to encourage interdisciplinary research and to establish and strengthen the scientific community of synthetic biology. Collaborative consortia will consist of at least 3 research teams from 3 countries participating in the call. Deadline for submission: Thursday, 3 July 2014. SME participation is strongly encouraged in these programs as an effective mean to build European network.

04/2014 - New Eurostars 2 call for projects

The new Eurostars 2 call for projects is open. This funding programme is fully dedicated to innovative SMEs aiming to launch R&D projects closed to the market, that are collaborative and European (at least 2 partners from EU). The funding rate for projects goes from 30 to 40% (subsidy managed by BPI France). Thus the new Eurostars 2 call for project is launched, which submission deadline is planned on Sept. 11, 2014. 2 infodays are organized on June 5 in Lyon and June 6 in Grenoble - get registered. Lyonbiopole supports you for EU project set-up thanks to its ETP programme.

05/2014 - Open calls Horizon 2020

The European commission has launched in December 11th 2013, the 1st Horizon 2020 (EU research and innovation programme for 2014-2020) calls for projects. Many calls are open at the moment: FET OPEN (disruptive innovation), SME Instrument (with several deadlines), “Health, demographic change and wellbeing” calls. Lyonbiopole supports you to build European projects through its ETP program.

05/2014 - Call for projects for innovative collaborative training with a socio-economic aim

The call for projects aims at offering support to existing or future training units or courses meeting the following criteria : -Application lead by one of the thirteen PALSE funding establishments and / or a consortium partner. – Innovative characteristic of the content and/or  the format – Link with socio-economic partners in the territory. The call in on-going. Proposals will be examined along the way.

05/26/2014 – Health2CARE, an alliance of clusters for personalized medicine

4 clusters Lyonbiopole, I-CARE, Plastipolis and Minalogic joined together with the Rhône-Alpes region to establish a European project  crossing plastics, electronics and medicine sectors: Health2CARE. The initiative, co-funded by DG Entreprise (CE) aims at gathering industrial sectors that are not used to work together in a creative dynamic open innovation to make new solutions or new products emerge. This approach aims to support especially SMEs wishing to embark on these new technologies. To support projects/most promising solutions, a call for expressions of interest will shortly be launched providing access to European experts selected services through networks of partners Health2CARE .
