09/03/2013- Accinov, the innovation platform initiated by Lyonbiopole opens!

Selected in 2010 following a call for projects initiated by the DGCIS and by the public group CDC, Accinov, the innovation platform project designed by Lyonbiopole is now operational!
After 16 months of works, 3 biomanufacturing units and 24 BSL-2/ISO 8 laboratories emerged. Thus, the platform will host development and analytical activities as well as biopharmaceutical production within fully independent and autonomous 210sq.m manufacturing units.
Accinov staff will be in charge of facilities management, while companies focus on their core business. This very innovative business model allows hosting companies in ready-to-use facilities.

Register now to the 7th edition of Lyonbiopole Partnering Days / Bluesky Meeting
The 7th edition of Lyonbiopole Partnering Days will be held on Friday October 11th, 2013 in Lyon. This event aims to foster exchanges between all the cluster's players: big industries, SMBs, academics and hospitals. Nearly 300 participants are expected to attend to this new edition. 20 parallel roundtables will be proposed on strategic and scientific topics. The event will also host the second edition of the BlueSky Meeting in the afternoon with short plenary talks of innovative technology offers and ideas of projects open to collaboration. 09/17/2013 - Lyonbiopole, Alsace BioValley and Quebec Consortium launch the second joint call of projects

Under the joint program between Lyonbiopole, Alsace BioValley and Quebec Consortium for Drug Discovery (CQDM), we are pleased to announce the launch of the second France-Québec Call for Proposals. This call aims to support the development of new technologies in order to facilitate the discovery and development of new drugs. Moreover, the three partners will hold a Franco-Quebec networking meeting on September 25 in Sherbrooke (Quebec). This event, which aims to facilitate the emergence of collaborative projects between Quebec, Alsace and the Rhône-Alpes region, will be a unique opportunity to meet and build relationships with Quebec and Alsace actors.

VETBIOBANK

Vetbiobank, member of Lyonbiopole, is a young biotech dedicated to provide veterinarian surgeons with clinical grade cells and tissues for regenerative medicine to improve animal healthcare (after an injury for example) and their well-being. Vetbiobank recently succeeded in raising capital from two business angels structures (HARA and SIMBA Santé) specialized in health industry and biotech. It will allow Vetbiobank to boost its scientific program and marketing efforts in order to strengthen its position as a leader on equine market and to develop its product for treating arthritis in companion animals (dog), second market of Vetbiobank.

02/11/2014 - Save the date - INRIA Industry meeting!

On February 11th 2014, INRIA, in partnership with Lyonbiopole, is organizing in Lyon an INRIA-Industry meeting, dedicated to the role of modeling and data analysis and management in the conception of new drugs and healthcare products.
Speakers from industry, academia and healthcare professionals will share their experience and provide an overview. Demos from INRIA teams and other Lyonbiopole members will be on display in the showroom. Bioinformatics, "omics" data analysis, bio-modeling, HPC and Big-Data will be among the addressed topics.

09/18/2013 - Discovery of a biomarker: towards an application in sepsis?

It's in a peer-reviewed scientific journal, PLOS ONE, that the first manuscript describing our discovered antibody biomarker: TcCRA has been published.
