04/22/2013 - 7th edition of the Fast Track R&D Partnering with France (FTRD)

At the launching of BIO Chicago 2013, Lyonbiopole in collaboration with the Health Competitiveness clusters, UbiFrance and with the support of the DGCIS, Sanofi and the AFII (French Agency for International Investments) will host the 7th edition of the Fast Track R&D with France on Monday, April 22, 2013 from 7:30 to 2:00 p.m. at SHERATON Chicago Hotel & Towers. The event, aimed at promoting innovation performed by French SMBs and to foster the emergence of international collaborations, will be an opportunity to discover the presentations of 7 French SMBs and 4 International Big Pharmas. 03/24-26/2013 - BIOVISION 2013, an 8th successful edition!

This new edition of BIOVISION closed on March 26 with the ceremony Price "BIOVISION Next Gem Award" and "BIOVISION Catalyzer Awards" under the Investor Conference and BIOVISION Catalyzer. Excellence Award for Innovation was awarded to: DNA Therapeutics for biotechnology and XELTIS for medtech. For BIOVISION Catalyzer Awards, six innovative international initiatives have been awarded (one per focus), a great award list!

Within the framework of the European project bioXclusters and "Mobility Clusters: hosting international experts in Rhône-Alpes program" funded by the Rhône-Alpes Region and managed by ERAI, Lyonbiopole welcomes on 4 & 5 April 2013, Karin Hollerbach, Taku Group CEO, based in San Francisco (Silicon Valley - U.S.), specialized in supporting development and growth of innovative companies in biotech, medtech, diagnostics and IT areas. On the occasion of this visit, the cluster invites you to attend a workshop dedicated to the US market and funding opportunities for EU health companies on Thursday, April 4. It will be followed by individual appointments at 14:00.

Around 150 experts on systems medicine issues gathered on March 25th and 26th 2013 in Lyon for the 1st CASyM stakeholder conference, satellite event of BIOVISION. CASyM (Coordinating Action Systems Medicine) is an initiative of the European Commission, several European funding bodies, companies and researchers with the objective to develop a strategic roadmap to implement Systems Medicine across Europe.

As part of its strategy in Chinese Health market, Lyonbiopole in collaboration with the cluster I-Care invite you to participate in a collective mission to Beijing and Shanghai from 26 to 31 May 2013. It is part of the International Development Plan 2013 Lyonbiopole and I-Care supported by the Rhône-Alpes Region in collaboration with ERAI. This mission is also organised in the European project bioXclusters in which Lyonbiopole is partner; so the Rhone-Alpes delegation will join in Shanghai, the partners clusters Biocat (Catalonia) BioM (Bavaria), BioPmed (Piedmont) and businesses.

03/2013 - Calls for projects FP7-PEOPLE Program (mobility of researchers) open

Calls for projects IEF (Intra-European Fellowships) IOF (International Outgoing Fellowships) and IIF (International Incoming Fellowships) were published on March 14th, 2013. Respectively provided a budget of € 134m, € 44.5m and € 44.5m, these calls will be closed August 14th, 2013 at 17:00. The program PEOPLE finances transnational mobility of researchers in academic laboratories and within companies. 03/2013 - 6th AAL Call for Projects open

The 6th Call for Projects of the AAL program (Ambient Assisted Living) is published under the topics: "ICT-based Solutions for Supporting Occupation in Life of Older Adults”.  The deadline for submitting projects is  April 30th, 2013. Projects supported by AAL are transnational, collaborative and co-financed by funding agencies of partner countries and the European Commission. As part of its PPTE, Lyonbiopole helps you to set up European projects.

03/2013 - Transnational Call for Proposals on Infectious diseases within the framework of the ERA-NET Infect-ERA

The ERA-NET Infect-ERA launches a first call for proposals in the field of transnational human infectious diseases, combining fundamental and applied research, including technological advances. Projects on HIV / AIDS, malaria and tuberculosis are excluded from this call. The call is open to consortia composed of 3 to 6 teams from at least three participating countries. The association of university teams, clinical and / or industrial will be an asset.
Deadline for submission of pre-applications: Friday, April 19, 2013 5:00 p.m.

03/28/2013 - Four projects, accredited by Lyonbiopole, obtain public funding from the 15th Call for Projects

After their accreditation by Lyonbiopole, worldwide competitiveness cluster, the projects BIOFILM, HIFI-CAP, HUMAXIS and MUTATION have been selected by the FUI (Single Interministry fund). They represent a total investment of € 15.1 M and will receive € 2.9 M of public funding. Since 2005, Lyonbiopole has accredited 133 multi-partner R&D projects for a total R&D investment of € 667 M of which € 268 M have been obtained.

03/11/2013 -The IMODI project accredited by Lyonbiopole will receive € 13.4 M

The IMODI research project is investigating how to make the selection of new effective treatments to combat 8 cancer pathologies easier. This private - public partnership project, which aims to put in place the first national subsidiary dedicated to personalized medicine in oncology, has a EUR 41 million overall investment budget.
