02/18/2013 - BIOVISION and Lyonbiopole reveal the selection of innovative projects

The 8th edition of BIOVISION, the World Forum of Life Sciences, held in Lyon from 24 to 26 March 2013, marked a turning point in its history by placing innovation heart of the event.
On February 18th took place a press conference at Lyonbiopole, co-organized by BIOVISION and Lyonbiopole to present BIOVISION Catalyzer, the new highlight of the Forum.

From May 26 to 31, 2013 - Mission in China organised by Lyonbiopole and I-Care from May 26 to 31, 2013

As part of its strategy in Chinese Health market, Lyonbiopole in collaboration with the cluster I-Care invite you to participate in a collective mission to Beijing and Shanghai from 26 to 31 May 2013. It is part of the International Development Plan 2013 Lyonbiopole and I-Care supported by the Rhône-Alpes Region in collaboration with ERAI. This mission is also organised in the European project bioXclusters in which Lyonbiopole is partner; so the Rhone-Alpes delegation will join in Shanghai, the partners clusters Biocat (Catalonia) BioM (Bavaria), BioPmed (Piedmont) and businesses.

Calixar and Synthelis team up to provide unique membrane protein services. Calixar, a company specialized in the isolation and crystallization of native and functional membrane proteins, and Synthelis, which is specialized in the production and vectorization of these same molecules, announced that they entered into an alliance for the production and isolation of all types of target membrane proteins. 03/26-25/2013 - CASyM conference in BIOVISION

The Coordinating Action Systems Medicine (CASyM) is an initiative of the European Commission, several European funding bodies, companies and researchers with the objective to develop a strategic roadmap to implement Systems Medicine across Europe. In order to avoid duplication and to promote the integration of efforts across Europe, the 1st CASyM stakeholder conference, taking place as an independent satellite event of BIOVISION on 25-26 March, 2013 in Lyon, France, will greet leading experts who will discuss systems medicine transversal issues and give their opinion and input with regard to the development of a strategic and sustainable Systems Medicine road map.

The DG SANCO has opened a call for projects related to consumer policy in the 2013 work programme. Submission deadline is 22 March 2013. 01/02/2013 - HIVERA joint transnational call 2013 open

Eranet HIVERA program, coordinated by the ANRS and supported by the European Commission launched on 2 January 2013, its second call for transnational projects for European research on HIV / AIDS. At least three countries, HIVERA partners must be involved in the project: Germany, Estonia, France, Portugal, Romania, Flemish Region. 02/04/2013 - Accinov chairs the 4th meeting of the Innovative Therapies Club 

As a follow-up to the cell therapy workshop organized in April 2012 with Lyonbiopole, Accinov chaired the 4th meeting of the Innovative Therapies Club on the 4th of February. The club gathers companies who develops advanced-therapies medicinal products (ATMP) and that industrializes their production process. The objective of the club is to help best practices sharing and to provide feedbacks on issues faced by the members during their product development. Hence, the main topic covered during this year is the regulatory compliance of ATMP production which remains a challenging topic due to a complex national and European landscape. The club is preparing its 2013 strategic roadmap and will get ready to welcome new members and to collaborate with other organizations in order to energize the national ATMP industry.

02/13/2013 - Immune Diversity & Sepsis : a new study by the Hospices Civils of Lyon and ImmunID

A new study performed in collaboration by the Hospices Civils of Lyon and ImmunID, highlights a novel aspect of Sepsis-Induced Lymphocyte. Characterization of immune dysfunctions in septic patients through ImmunID’s immune profiling tests showed a marked decrease of T cell diversity after the onset of shock and a very quick recovery of diversity in the first week.

The European Commission has launched for the first time a call inviting scientists to participate in the development of the program "Horizon 2020", the future funding program for research and innovation in the European Union. The challenge to "set" French experts in the expert advisory groups is very important. 02/22/2013 - CEBR announces its creation as an independent non-profit

CEBR originally created as part of a European project involving several Health European clusters, has continued to gather more members. Real space of exchanges of good practice and new initiatives, it includes around 50 health clusters. At its annual meeting held on 21 and 22 February 2013 in Mallorca, the CEBR has announced its creation as a non-profit association. Lyonbiopole is a founder of the new organisation and is part of the new board of directors.
