2011/02/21 - Future investments : Lyonbiopole presents the TRI LyonBioTech

An ambitious Technological Research Institute project for a comprehensive and personalized treatment of infectious diseases.
Lyonbiopole has accredited the TRI project in the field of infectious diseases, jointly elaborated with Louis Pasteur Institute in Paris. The final application was submitted on February 18th, to the National Research Agency, in charge of the call. The TRI, named LyonBioTech is leading a unique public-private partnership model. It is based on an integrated and multidisciplinary R&D approach for innovation in the field of infectious diseases in favor of patients. The TRI LyonBioTech gathers Sanofi-Aventis, Merieux Institute, Danone, Pasteur Institute, the French National Institute of Health and Medical Research (Inserm), CEA,  National Center for Scientific Research (CNRS), INRIA, Lyonbiopole and around 50 SMBs from Lyon and Paris.

2011/03/29 – Participate in France Biotech’s annual survey on life sciences

During BioVision on March 29th in Lyon, France Biotech, the association that gathers the French Life Sciences entrepreneurs, will present the “9th Panorama of the Life Sciences”. The association invites life sciences companies to participate to the annual survey through an online form. The answers will allow to evaluate the weight of our industry and the industry state-of-art in France. Deadline: Friday, March 11th 2011.

2011/06/27 - Lyonbiopole will be present at BIO Washington and organises the 5th edition of the Fast Track R&D Partnering with France (FTRD)

BIO 2011 International Convention, the World Life Sciences Congress will be held from 27 to 30 June 2011 in Washington DC. On Monday 27 June 2011, with the Congress opening, Lyonbiopole will organise the 5th edition of the Fast Track R&D Partnering with France (FTRD) in collaboration with UbiFrance and the French Biotech Clusters, with the support of DGCIS (French Government). This exchanging moment allows each year to build contact with international companies and presents offers of international partnerships. During the Congress, Lyonbiopole welcomes you on the French Pavillon, that gathers regional life sciences actors and co-exhibitor Rhone-Alpes companies. The common booth is co-funded by the Rhone-Alpes region, Greater Lyon, Greater Grenoble and Aderly in collaboration with Lyonbiopole, Lyon Chamber of Commerce and UbiFrance.

2011/09/18 - Save the date : participate to a collective mission on « Infectious diseases and Immunology »

This mission will be held from 18th to 23rd of September 2011 on the US East Coast. It is addressed to every French biotech company that works on infectious diseases and immunology (drug discovery/development, vaccines, biotherapies, diagnostics, CRO/CMO, technology transfert) willing to develop industrial and technological partnerships with US partners. The mission is results from a collaboration between all the French Biotech Competitiveness Clusters and is coordinated by Lyonbiopole, the French Ministry of Industry, Ubifrance (French and American offices). 2011/04/07 – The Law Society of Lyon organized a major event on Health products

The symposium gathers research centers, manufacturers, health institutes and other institutional and economic actors that work in the field of healthcare products. The event will be held on April 7th at the Lyon Museum of Fine Art. From the medical research to commercialization, the economic activities linked to the health products necessarily evolve in a complex environment. This environment is constituted by changing legal rules that the actors of the field have to deal with. This is the reason why the Law Society of Lyon proposes this symposium dedicated to practical issues about health products. 2011/03/21 - 2nd LEAD-ERA call for proposals: Lyonbiopole supports you for your project building.


This program funds transnational industrial research projects aiming to develop new products or processes for six targeted markets: e-health, bioproducts, renewable energy, sustainable construction, recycling and textile of protection. A minimum of 2 industries (in France, companies up to 2,000 employees) from 2 different countries is necessary to form an eligible consortium. LEAD-ERA gathers funding programs of RDI projects from six European countries: Austria, Belgium, Spain, France, Greece and Italy. Lyonbiopole is at your disposal to build European projects.

The one-day investor meeting is divided in two parts: face-to-face meetings between member companies and private investors and a workshop followed by a networking lunch in order to facilitate exchanges between investors and SMBs. 2011/07/06 – 47th meeting on Therapeutic chemistry in Lyon

The meeting is organized in Lyon under the auspices of the Therapeutic Chemistry Society. It will gather experts from the academic world and pharmaceutical companies. This year, the scientific programme focuses on drug discovery. It has been approved by the industrial and academic members of the scientific committee, from which the Lyonbiopole's member company Edelris is part of. Almost 400 participants from Europe and the rest of the world are expected.
