Register to SMB and private funding day: "How to strengthen your equity capital?”

 
This event, organized by Lyonbiopole in partnership with CREALYS and OSEO, will take place on Friday 3rd December 2010 at the headquarters of Sanofi Pasteur in Lyon-Gerland. This event aims to facilitate/reinforce the first contacts and the interactions between companies, managers of start-up projects and investors, from all type and all kind of private funding organizations. This event will get organized around roundtables, testimonials, networking and company or start-up projects presentations to investors and participants.

The 4th edition of Lyonbiopole Partnering Days was a great success

 
This annual event was held on Thursday, October 7th, 2010 in the World Trade Center in Grenoble and gathered 262 participants including 26% SMBs, 21% industrials, 38% academics and 15% of partners. The morning was dedicated to plenary sessions focused on Lyonbiopole’s actions and keys thematic for activity areas (Sepsis and Monoclonal Antibody and Systems Biology). 17 roundtables dedicated to brainstorming on specific thematic were organize on the afternoon. In parallel, 63 posters of projects accredited by Lyonbiopole since 2005, were exposed all the day.

Lyonbiopole is partner of the conference organized by Finovi Foundation on nosocomial infections : from basic science to clinical aspects

2010/12/09 -For the second year, this conference will gather the key players of Rhone-Alpes region in the field of nosocomial infections, on December 9th, 2010 at l'Ecole Normale Supérieure de Lyon. 2012 - Lyon was chosen to host the largest international distinction in pharmaceutical research. The decision has been announced during the 2010 ceremony in New York on September 28th, 2010, attended by Ban Ki-Moon, Secretary General of the United Nations, seven Nobel Prize, Bill Clinton, Philippe Douste-Blazy and representatives of Aderly (Invest in Lyon), sponsors of the event under the process of the OnlyLyon promotion.

11th call for projects of the Single Inter-Ministry Fund (FUI), launched on October 13rd, 2010

 
FUI projects submission to Lyonbiopole for accreditation is ongoing. The Lyonbiopole’s Technical Group will audition the project leaders on November 5th, 2010. This accreditation is necessary to submit your FUI project on OSEO extranet (deadline: November 26th, 2010 at midday). The official results of the 11th call will be published in March 2011.

1st call for projects in the field of viral safety for biological products

 
 
 
The Alliance BioSecure Foundation, recognized as a public utility since December 2006, has been established to improve analysis, understanding and management of public health risks related to current or emerging microbiological agents. The foundation wishes enlarge its scope to viral safety of biologicals on the topic of emerging viruses. The submission of letters of intent must be made no later than January 18th, 2011.

Results of Lyonbiopole’s R&D projects: GAP

 
 
 
2010/10/28 - The GAP project, accredited by the competitiveness cluster Lyonbiopole, was initiated in 2006 and aims to build a prophylactic shield against emerging human and animal influenza outbreaks. The project was financially supported by the French Ministry of Industry and gathered public (INSERM, Hospices civils de Lyon (HCL), CNRS, Laboratoire P4) and private (Sanofi Pasteur, Merial, bioMérieux, Fondation Mérieux) partners from Lyon area.

Renewal of agreement between  Lyonbiopole and INPI: official signature on November 4th, 2010

 
 
2010/11/04 - Yves Lapierre,  General Director of the National Institute of Industrial Property (INPI) and Philippe Archinard, President of Lyonbiopole will sign, in Lyonbiopole’s office, the convention FRDPI-2010-14. This convention will extend this partnership development and promotion of industrial property program dedicated to members companies of Lyonbiopole.

Lyonbiopole invests in the long term by keeping on its PPTI program



2010/09/15 - This program initiated in 2008, with the support of the DGCIS of the French Ministry of the Economy, Industry and Employment, allow SMBs members of Lyonbiopole to meet potential partners for the development of strategic cooperations and to foster their growth and their innovation. For instance, Lyonbiopole went with five members companies to the BioPharm America, business convention, in mid-September.

2011 Finance law project: The Worldwide competitiveness cluster Club alerts the government

Indeed, some new measures would be apply to: young innovative companies (JEI), the research tax credit (CIR) and the ISF-SME which currently allows taxpayers, who invest directly in SMBs to reduce their tax on capital.

Signature of a collaboration agreement between ImmunID and Civil Hospitals of Lyon and launching of the first clinical study RiPAL

2010/10/04 - The clinical study RiPAL (Immunological Repertoire in Patients with lymphoma and chronic lymphocytic leukemia) aims to describe variations of the immune profile which lead to divpenia using in vitro diagnostic tools developed by ImmunID . This clinical study is realized by the hematology department of the Civil Hospitals of Lyon, Lyon-Sud, and led by Professor Gilles Salles.

ERYtech Pharma and Genzyme Corporation sign collaborative research agreement in rare diseases on October 12th, 2010

2010/10/12 - The aim of this signature is to explore the feasibility of developing a novel therapeutic enzyme formulation using ERYtech’s proprietary technology. Both companies will collaborate over the next 15 months to perform feasibility studies with encapsulating the enzyme and testing the new formulation in preclinical studies.
