Lyonbiopole has positioned itself as the gateway to the regional, national and international ecosystem for SMEs in the Rhône-Alpes region.
The cluster helps its members access private funding and skills and build strategic partnerships.
The cluster's team works in the field with members on a day-to-day basis to diagnose their needs and implement tools and targeted initiatives to meet those needs.
Lyonbiopole draws on the strong support it receives from its members to better define its support strategy and implement the correct tools and actions. This support is channelled through two working groups:
- GD€co (economic development group) is a working group of intuitu personaemembers, mostly SME directors, Bpifrance representatives, entrepreneurs and business developers. It considers initiatives and decides which tools to implement to promote the SMEs' growth by issuing recommendations that, after validation by the Lyonbiopole Board of Directors, are put into action.
- The SME GPEC orientation and training group comprises six SMEs representing four of Lyonbiopole's strategic areas of action and a range of company sizes. It meets every year to set out which strategic skills to target with implemented initiatives and which GPEC and Training initiatives are to be prioritized to promote growth, competitiveness and job creation in health sector companies in the Rhône-Alpes region.
These two groups provide the advice and expertise necessary to define the cluster's action plan of support for the economic development of companies.
