Intellectual property and consortium agreements

Two flagship initiatives have been implemented by the cluster to support its members in the areas of intellectual property and consortium agreements.

Agreement with the INPI (French national institute of industrial property), which has five service areas

  • Industrial property prediagnosis: support in setting up an industrial property strategy and evaluation of industrial property concerns by an INPI or external expert (free)
  • Industrial property support for collaborative projects: industrial property audits carried out to help set up a strategy that includes it and consortium agreements prepared by an external expert (50% funded)
  • Competition and strategic information studies: prior art searches carried out by an external expert (50% funded)
  • Special access to the INPI's professional training courses (2012 catalogue) (50% discount on the catalogue price)
  • Special access to the annual awareness programme: various aspects of industrial property in the health sector, with presentations by industrial property consultancy firms (free)

Free for Lyonbiopole members who register using the NEXT form sent out each Monday.

A Taste for Innovation workshops

Jointly organised with the Axelera, Minalogic and Tennerdis competitiveness clusters, these workshops tackle problems encountered in consortium agreements and are structured in two parts:

  • Targeted support prior to the FUI (Single Ministerial Funds) call for projects, which deals with writing and negotiating consortium agreements and/or intellectual property and using the results
  • Spotlight on intellectual property: confidentiality, software and concept protection
