LYONBIOPÔLE, MABDESIGN AND BIOASTER COLLABORATE – I4ID

LYONBIOPOLE, MABDESIGN AND BIOASTER COLLABORATE TO STRENGTHEN THE ATTRACTIVENESS OF THE AURA REGION ON INFECTIOUS DISEASES AND IMMUNOTHERAPY

I4ID 2019, resulting from the fusion of the I4ID congress dedicated to immunotherapy organized by MabDesign – association aiming to structure and support the French industrial sector of immunotherapy – and BIOASTER – technological research institute specialized in microbiology and infectiology – and the Nosocomial Infections Days organized by the Lyonbiopôle health competitiveness cluster, will be held on December 4 and 5 2019 at the Ecole Normale Supérieure de Lyon. These three emblematic health stakeholders bring together for two days experts from around the world to combine approaches and strengths to innovate in the fields of infectious diseases and immunotherapy.

Through the organization of this congress – in partnership with Sanofi, Boehringer Ingelheim, bioMérieux, GSK, PerkinElmer, Proteigene, Transgene and with the institutional support from the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes Region and the Lyon Metropolis – the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region, world-renowned in the field of infectious diseases and immunotherapy, will be the epicentre for rich exchanges on research in these fields.

During these two days, pharmaceutical companies, research laboratories, clinicians, service providers and technology developers will be able to discuss the development of innovative solutions for the prevention and treatment of infectious diseases. Half of the speakers at this international congress are regional experts, members of Lyonbiopôle, with a good mix of academics and industrials:  these include INSA, INRA, CIRI, bioMérieux, Boehringer Ingelheim, Sanofi Pasteur, Evotec, Axoscience, BiofilmControl, Nosopharm, Molsid, Altrabio and SigniaTherapeutics among others.

The I4ID speakers, 40% from abroad, (from the Netherlands, England, Austria, Sweden, the United States, Belgium, Germany, Finland and Portugal), will focus on the latest advances in the field  while laboratories and start-ups will present the new approaches and innovations in the fight against these pathologies. The various approaches of fighting infectious diseases will be discussed: immunotherapies, new antimicrobials, microbiota, vaccines, diagnostic and monitoring tools...

The goal? Highlight synergies and transdisciplinary approaches.
