Abstract

PATVAX challenge is to develop new innovative in-line and real time measurement systems based on innovative fixed and mobile sensors implemented into manufacturing process. These innovative process analytical technology (PAT) tools have been able to provide a continuous and permanent analytical information to monitor on going process kinetics. These real time measurement systems offer the opportunity to efficiently adjust as needed the running process to its optimal reference trajectory. PATVAX tools as developped offer wide opportunities for implementation to other industrial areas.


Objectives

- To better understand and characterize formulation processes by innovative in line sensors to monitor bioprocesses. - To gain in process understanding and process monitoring by developping innovative measurement systems (sensors) able to capture real time information to monitor and drive bio-processes - To improve process efficiency by driving manufacturing processes at their optimal trajectory pattern. - To optimize formulation process step - To optimize process productivity by reducing at risk manufacturing phases - To reduce final quality control cycle time by in line real time testing

Innovative assets

PATVAX collaborative network as been able  to identify relevant analytical signals (CEA LETI and ENS), to design innovative sensors (Cyberstar and smartINST). Sensors are able to deliver a real time information, reinforcing process design and process development at R&D stage, to establish a process signature illustrating quality by design approach to support efficient process transfer (Sanofi Pasteur). All sensors have been demonstrated as operational at industrial scale offering an efficient real time process monitoring (Merial).
