IASO BIOPRODUCTION

IASO is developing multi-target bioproduction of therapeutic recombinant proteins inside microalgae cells. These fast-growing, single-cell microorganisms produce homogeneous batches of biomolecules by fermentation. Our strains of interest are qualified for biopharmaceuticals and can be used as vectors of proteins bioencapsulated in edible cells, and heat-stable. They also have advantages for ‘difficult-to-express’ proteins, for fusion proteins, for immunotoxins, thus opening new options in vaccinology, infectiology and oncology.
