The CRNL develops a multidisciplinary research on brain organization, cognitive functions, mental states, and on related brain disorders.

The neural substrates of brain functions, such as perception and action, attention, memory, sleep and vigilance, emotion and social cognition, are investigated from genes to behavior and from bench to patient.

A multiscale integrated approach is used in animals and humans to decipher the underlying pathophysiological mechanisms and to translate this knowledge to new diagnostic markers and to innovative therapies.
