AVALUN

Avalun ® Company is located in France in Grenoble, between Lyon and Geneva, and close to the Alps. Its name comes from the Greek word for analysis, « ἀνάλυσις », as the company focuses on biological testing especially used in the Point-Of-Care (POC).

Management team includes a highly professional knowledge of business develoment, optics and microfluidics, medical and imaging software as well as biology. Vincent Poher, Vincent Bousquet and Patrick Pouteau have founded the company in 2013.

The company is currently developing an innovative concept of mobile POC device which enables practitioners and patients to perform a series of testing on the same device and to exchange the results. The device itself uses a lensless optical technology internationally patented and developed during more than 10 years by the CEA-LETI; it is combined to a smart consumable in which the reagent has been previously stored.

This concept has been awarded several times, among which the National Competition patronized by the French Ministry for Public Research and Higher Education in June 2013.
