Christian Valentin - Technology & Innovation Advisor

Dr Christian Valentin obtained his pHD in microbial biochemistry at UCBL Lyon 1 (France 1981).

 

Christian joint Institut Merieux, now Sanofi Pasteur R&D department, as immunomodulator downstream processing scientist. He managed then several international technological transferts with academic groupes and partnership with biotech companies.

 

Christian implemented biochemical characterization expertise platform for recombinant proteins, and developed Good Practices and specific biotechnology international quality standards (ICHQ5) within the company R&D organization. Christian has been project leader for innovative vaccines before joining development department to develop and manage analytical development and formulation technology platform for several years.

 

In 2009, Christian moved to executive director position for Bioprocess R&D department. Christian has been more specifically involved within Quality by design initiative and PAT (Process analytical development) concepts. He designed and managed the PATVAX project (development of innovative sensors for real time monitoring of bioprocesses) within open innovation network from Lyonbiopole Biocluster.

 

Early 2014, Christian joint Lyonbiopole Biocluster management team, as technology and innovation Advisor. He contributes to set up innovative collaborative projects, bringing to start up and SMEs, his big pharma R&D experience.
